About Us

ian and jan We have been married for over 40 years now and have always tried to work out how we could work together for the Kingdom of God in every area of our lives. However, since working as an account manager in IT for most of my working life, it was always difficult to make that a reality, except for some time each Sunday as we tried to be in our church together. The constant travelling - crazy hours - was taking its toll.

In 2002 I lost my job and decided to become self-employed and this did allow us some extra time to be on mission together, although it made our finances pretty tight. During this time we were very blessed to be involved in Prayer Missions to Eastern Europe with NLI and found this was what God was calling us to do and it was so wonderful to be able to work together at last!

It was while we were on one such Mission that God spoke very clearly to us saying that this was what He was calling us to - to work together!

John 14:12

"Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father."

OK... So... How do WE do Greater Things than JESUS, the Son of God? Did he mean greater in terms of quality? Or did He mean in terms of quantity?

Greater in quality?

Surely not. After all, Jesus did heal the sick, drove out demons.. oh... and by the way, He raised the dead too!

Greater in Quantity?

Well, maybe. Jesus had just three years in what we would call ministry. So, probably in our many years of possible ministry, we have loads more timer to follow His example. Except that, when we all look back over the years we have been Christians, have we done more. Also, don't forget that 'Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.' (John 12:25 NIVUK)

These were the questions that immediately come to mind. But, the danger is that, in spending time trying to work out how the Greater Things could happen, we are in danger of not doing anything at all! Instead, we have come to realise should just get on with it and that more understanding would come as we did the stuff.
